After winning the auction I heard nothing from the seller so I messaged them a day later, they responded the following day telling me that they contacted other bidders and made a deal with one of them. This was never stated in the listing or indicated anywhere in the comments etc. They said if the person they already made the deal with didn’t work out after a week she would contact me to “work something out” for the item I already won… She also mentioned she relisted the item twice at a higher price and since they weren’t sold she lowered the price to an auction but still wanted to be able to make enough to buy a new pair and that’s why they instead made a deal with someone else. I let them know that I didn’t really feel that was fair and so she decided to honor the sale, but then took days to invoice me because she had to talk to the other person she made a deal with first..
The shoes did come and she shipped promptly after I paid but it was a headache to buy from this seller because of the reasons above, I would recommend to buy from them with caution. I hope this will be an important lesson to make the start bid of auctions the minimum amount you want to make and to honor sales with the buyer first and contact others after.
