I got so many people saying they like my Shrimplita JSK that I made a second one!
**Please read this description thoroughly**
This JSK is handmade by me! I am a hobbyist and do not own professional machinery, but I try my best to make as high of quality a garment that I can.
Please note there may be some variation in the stitching. All of the fabric pieces have been serged and sewn together. All of the hems are serged, flipped up, and stitched down. I have included close up photos of this for reference.
The outer fabric is made of 100% cotton, and the lining is made from, to the best of my knowledge, 100% cotton upsycled linnens.
The Lining fabric has some texture near the seams; I have ironed most of it out but some of it persist. This is purely cosmetic and should not alter the wearability of the dress at all. Additionally, there are two spots that I noticed after finishing the garment where the lining fabric had pulled slightly, creating a small hole.
I have repaired both; one is on the underside of the bow, and the other is on the inside of the lining. I have included photos of this as well.
To the best of my estimations, the max bust size on this is roughly 43 inches and the max waist size is roughly 42 inches. My measurements are around a 38-40 inch bust and a 30-32 inch waist. The dress fits me comfortably with room to spare, but I cannot confirm the max sizes other than through flat measurements as I do not have a large enough dressform to test it on.
The total length of the dress is 38 inches from the shoulder with the straps on the middle length. The straps of the dress are 15.75 inches long and have three different buttons to adjust for fit. I have included photos of a measuring tape pinned to my dressform for reference.
The dress overall features had colored red crab buttons on the front, adjustable shoulder straps, two in-seam pockets, full back shirring, waist ties, and is fully lined.
Additionally, there is also a matching headbow that has brooch back sewn into it so that it can also be worn on the dress if wanted. I will include a plain plastic headband to slip the bow on. I would typically make a covered band to match the headbow, but I quite literally used all the fabric I had for this already.
I believe that is all the information! If you have any additional questions, please feel free to comment here and I will do my best to answer them quickly!

Honestly though my comm is having a sailor/pirate coord themed meet up this summer and I kind of want to bring this one since it’s vaguely sea themed 😂

Is this something you would/could make again in a smaller size? Absolutely love this and am very interested but I am not sure the one in this listing would fit me well. Thank you for letting me know either way!

If I can get my hands on more fabric I’d be more than happy to make more! It’s been sold out at my local Joann’s for a while now 😭

Ooh excellent question! I can’t believe I forgot to mention those 😭 the eyelet lace that runs around the dress as well as vertically in the front is cotton, and the ribbon and scalloped lace are both polyester!

Okay thank you so much! Also would it be fine if I recreate it? I absolutely adore it amd recently found the fabric!
I'm not quite sure how to sow a lolita piece but I would love to be able to recreate it for myself... of course if allowed

Thank you for making this jsk! It is absolutely glorious, and I’m so glad people love it too.

Ahh thank you! I’m honestly happily surprised that people like it too. I loved the print, but thought that maybe it might be too weird for more “mainstream” EGL 😅 I’m glad I went ahead and made it anyways!

Ahhh I’m sorry! I made it the maximum size I could with the fabric I had on hand 😭
