Would you be able reattach a pearl chain if you had a spare? Or is it totally damaged (I have spare shoe chains...)

You would absolutely be able to attach a new chain, there is a loop on the ankle strap specifically for that. (If you end up buying them I will ship them with the other pair of shoes.)
