the front doesn't have any buttons or ties to close, but you can add a broach to close it. Can be worn jut open, so it's really plus size friendly, just beware of shoulder length. For reference my bust is 96 cm, and my shoulders are about 39 cm. and it fits me comfortably. It is a size large according to the tag. (which btw, is falling off a bit, pictured. If you want me to just cut it off and toss it, please let me know, or else you can sew it back on) measurements (unstretched):
