There are 3 different posts on Lolibrary for the early keyrings, I choose to link the one with best photos. Whether this particular keyring arrived from the manufacturer in 1999, 2000, 2001 or even later is impossible to tell.

This item have been used. I've carried it around daily with my keys since receiving it in 2015, I assume the previous owners (plural) too used it for its intended purpose. Assume that none of the hardware are original, I replaced two of the rings today with ones I had at home before taking the photos since the replaced parts were in an ugly condition.
