Here's your chance to own a piece of lolita history. I've decided having this in my closet and not wearing it doesn't bring me joy, so it's time for it to find a new home. Time to accept it's always going to be too short for me, and there's nothing to be done about that!
This came to me BNWT, but I cut them off in an attempt to make me wear it. I still have all of the tags, sample fabric, and spare button. I've only ever tried it on for a few minutes. She is pristine. Not a single flaw I can spot. The bloomers are folded from storage, but that's about it.
This set includes: The black OP and belt and bloomers (and tag), the black nurse cap style headdress and white/black pin (and tag), a pink/black pin (and tag for another headdress, which I don't have).
I will be shipping in a well packaged, sturdy box, with a bag. Due to the value of this, I will only be shipping fully insured for the entire value, and I will not be able to mark it down. I am willing to ship internationally.

With the oldschool fad and more newcomers than ever, there will almost always be someone willing to go higher. Ive read the damn description but I guess we’re really just gonna take it at face value? Theyre probably spoiled for choice in DMs over people offering multi-piece trades + money. Its not the price that’s upsetting, its the fact that this “placeholder” is encouraging ridiculous bids. The rich get richer or whatever.. and scalpers will see the listing as an example to base their prices off.

You are not the one spending the money on this auction so I dont understand why you are so enraged about this. On top of that this cut sold for 1k last year. This item is in one of the best conditions you can get for old school pieces. Why would the seller take 500 when people are offering more. No one is happy with the way prices are but you being extremely toxic and attacking the seller isn't the way to go about things when all they did was put an auction up. It isn't their fault people are willing to pay this much. And btw I dont think having a large platform while actively normalizing throwing fits under someone's auction is okay. Like I said take a deep breath and chill :) You are reading too deeply into things and it's making you upset.

it's not scamming, the items included and their status are clearly shown, it's up to the people bidding how much they decide it's worth to pay for them. nor is it scalping given it's an auction that started at $400, the bidders brought it to this price. adding in it's also not scalping or flipping given there's no evidence this was bought at a low price with the intent to turn around and make a quick buck, there hasn't been a piece in this colorway sold for quite a while. you're allowed to think it's a lot or think it's silly, but by no definition is it scamming or scalping

Holy grails arent a constant. Wasnt it sugary carnival and 2010s sweet a second ago? Theyre profiting off of a fad thats pulled in many new lolitas who like oldschool. For me is the audacity especially after a damn rerelease too.

And at times, sellers add the customs they had to pay when they resell anything. It's subtle but pretty obvious. 😔 What I want are my holy grails but I remember that when both Sugary Carnival and Milky Planet were first released. And to a degree, Whipped Magic, too, I think. Crazy times.

sugary carnival and most 2010 sweet sets are not hard to come by. just because they are popular does not make them rare or grails. and the rerelease isn't even the same design as the original. plus this listing is the set with the badges and all, in pretty immaculate condition. you expected them to put up a full original hospitality doll set (as op said, a rare piece of much sought after lolita history) for what $500 and call it a day...? because that really would be crazy

1) Holy Grails ARE a constant, that's what makes them a HG which is one step above a regular DD
2) Hospodoll has been desired by people since before Sugary Carnival even existed
3) Unlike SC, Hospodoll has never had a proper re-release and will never have an accurate one unless Kato-san (who owns the rights) works out a licensing agreement with Metamorphose. The recent nurse release IS NOT Hospodoll
4) You sound like someone relatively new to the fashion actually lol any lolita worth their salt knows that Hospodoll etc (like Puppet Circus) will ALWAYS be extremely desired by the community, especially because there will never be a proper re-release
