It seems there are two versions of the black colorway for this--I have the one with the larger squares! (2nd image)

Bought secondhand last year and never wore it out, I love it but it sits very oddly on my ribcage so I don't recommend it if you are tall or have a long torso. Came without waist ties unfortunately but the waist buttons are intact, so someone less lazy than me could easily make some or attach matching ones!
