**ON HOLD FOR PURLINSTITCH**

this JSK was in pretty bad condition when i purchased it and i did my best with it, but it's time for it to move on. i have not been able to positively ID it so the lolibrary listing linked is what i think this dress probably is -- nothing else of this age matches the front lacing pattern. i am pretty sure this isn't a rerelease because the dress is completely unlined and the skirt is only large enough to fit a very small petticoat by today's standards.

i've paired up some "before and after" photos in this listing though please note that i've got abysmal lighting now compared to when i received the item. both sets of photos were taken in natural daylight.

what i've done:

• hand-washed once in cold water and regular detergent
• hand-washed three times in retro clean (sodium perborate)
• dipped in liquid bluing three times
• received with what looked like splashes of hot pink nail polish in random spots and even on the underside of the white lace at the bottom; did my best to gently remove all of those spots but i may have missed something

the good:

• shoulder strap shirring is in fantastic condition
• the fabric of the dress itself does not feel worn thin
• back zipper works just fine

the bad:

• dye rubbed off on underarms; likely not deodorant staining because it persisted through three (!) retro clean baths
• very yellowed cotton lace even after washing/bluing
• hole on the right-hand seam of the right-hand pocket
• left-hand waist tie button missing

this fits me at 76cm waist and 83cm bust. there is NO front or back shirring, but the shirred straps allow for some extra space in the bust.
