It is still in good condition, but the patches are a little wrinkly from the washing machine. (I didn't want to iron them too much for fear of ruining the patches, but I'm sure you could steam them out easily.)

Sure! No problem. Yeah, the sleeves are a soft blouse-y material. The dress itself is actually a really sturdy fabric! I really love this dress a lot because it felt well-made, and it was very comfortable.
You can definitely tighten up the back quite a bit, I lost 20lbs since I first bought it and it has always fit/looked flattering because of the lacing. I’m not sure *how* small you need it, but I’m sure it will work! As long as your measurements aren’t drastically smaller, I think it will be fine. :)
