This is my first attempt at a JSK, so I was trying to make it for myself, but I messed up and it ended up too big for me. I still want it to go to someone who'll love it, though!

The flat measurements are pretty much a standard UK 16, and the back has partial shirring and corset lacing, so it'd probably fit a large 14 up to a small 18, I'd estimate.

The dress is made of Oxford cotton. The Hello Kitty print is licensed Sanrio fabric and I got it from Modes4u. It's fully lined with standard polyester dress lining and fastens with a zip and hook and eye closure. The straps are adjustable with three buttonholes on them, and the dress has detachable waist ties. The skirt is more cupcake-shaped.

It's self-drafted with pintucks and decorative buttons on the front bodice; heart lace trim on the straps, front princess seams, and back seams; and wide broderie anglais trim on the skirt hem and waist ties. The back laces up with a satin ribbon. The hairclip and bow on the front are double-layered - candystripe on the bottom, blue main fabric on the top - with heart lace trim on the edges of the candystripe layer.

Construction-wise, I'm happy with it, but it definitely isn't perfect - there are some rookie errors, such as the print on the waist ties not being pattern matched because I cut things out wrong, and the side bodice might gap on smaller-chested people. With that said, it will still look cute! I just want to be clear about it.

The hairclip has one of those barrette closures.
