*DAMAGED* Angelic Pretty Melty Ribbon Chocolate Boston Bag

I purchased this bag from Mercari Japan in a damaged condition and I wanted to take my chances restoring it.
I used leather paint to restore it and it looked nice for a short time but because the paint dried down to a somewhat sticky-like finish, it began to peel again. The straps have laid against the bag in storage and when pulled off (kind of like when you peel your legs off of a leather seat) it peeled the finish off.
