I got this brand new in Japan and have only ever tried it on. The headbow is made out of a nice velvet ribbon glued onto a sturdy black plastic headband. The glue job on the actual band isn't 100% perfect because this isn't an expensive item with top-notch quality control, but this is only visible if you hold the band right up to your face and check at the seam where the ribbon meets the plastic band. The headband itself has little bumps/teeth on its underside, which helps it sit securely on your head.

The headbow has no tags so I can't be 100% certain anymore, but I'm fairly sure it's from Chocomint!
