The bottoms are darkened from me being dumb and walking around the house without slippers while parts of the house were having the carpets cleaned. There is light piling all over the bottom halves. I spent over 40 for these new from the Baby store in SF. I have soaked and re-washed the socks using oxiclean and the darkness on the bottoms has come off entirely :) I couldn't update new pictures because a bid has already been placed
