This blouse is not shirred, so I wouldn't recommend it for smaller sizes without tailoring involved. This blouse is made out of a nice chiffon. It is a bit heavy because of all the ruffles, but it's super comfortable. The ribbons are a synthetic material and a bit scratchy, but I couldn't feel them when I was wearing it. They are not detachable.
