I live with a smoker and pets but keep all of my items stored in a wardrobe exclusively for J-fashion / Lolita items. They are only taken out when traveling for events.
I don't believe there is any smoke smell on them due to the storage methods, but I'm not as sensitive to the smell generally, so I cannot guarantee to those who are sensitive that it may not be there. All my items will be lint-rolled before final packing and shipping to remove any stray fur that may have gotten on them.
