I am the second owner of this dress. It came to me with the button off and I saved it to sew back on later. Lo and behold, it has gone missing. I don't want to toss this because it really is beautiful, so I thought I'd sell it really cheap to someone who would want to tinker with the buttons and create something great. I'll include the button if, by some miracle, it shows up. There is a tiny run on the front waist bow.
