I cut off the back lacing because I had to lace the shirt to the max, and it looked very silly having too much ribbon dangle off my back, but I fixed the two tips of the ribbon with a small flame so they won't fray. If you hit the max measurements for the blouse, you'll need to get a new ribbon because the current one will be too short. No other flaws.
