The tail is detachable with buttons (see last 2 pics)! The pockets are actually sewn in and you can break off the seams if you want to actually use them as pockets, but they don't have much depth. This vest fits me super comfy and looks amazing! But I do have other vests and I prefer the pockets on those, so I'm offering this one up for now.

Abdomen width 45cm (on my 44cm bust and 36cm waist, this is very comfy without feeling tight)
