I bought this classic JSK here on lace market back in 2015, but it never fit me so I have never worn it, only tried it on. It's time for me to let it go to someone who will give it the love it deserves.

According to the person I bought it from, it is handmade. It is very well constructed: clean seams, fully serged, good quality lace, sturdy fabric which I suspect is cotton, with back shirring and lacing, an invisible zipper on the side, removable waist ties and chest bow, and adjustable shoulder straps. The pattern on the straps reverses at the shoulder line so that the cats are upright from the front and back. The ruffle at the hemline is reinforced with a solid black panel. In terms of quality it is at least as good as any of the Chinese indie dresses I own. It does not have a lining but the fabric is thick enough that nothing shows through when I've tried it on.

It is like new EXCEPT for slight fraying on the removable chest bow. I don't remember whether it was like this when I got it, and the photos on the original listing are gone so I can't check them. It could easily be fixed with some fray check or hemming the ends of the bow.

I had some trouble getting photos where the color looked right. The photos on the dressform are the closest to how it looks in person.

I am 5'4"/164cm and it is a bit too long in the torso for me, even with the straps as short as they will go. I think it would look very nice on someone who was at least 5'7"/170cm. The dressform I put it on for photos is about 4'3"/132cm.

The original seller's measurements:

Shoulder to bottom of dress: 41 inches

Chest to bottom of dress: 35 inches

Bust is 39 inches to 41 inches stretched

Waist is 32 inches to 39 inches stretched.

This dress definitely can fit a smaller bust than these measurements suggest (my bust measurement is 85cm/33.5 inches and I could tighten it to fit), but you have to tighten it quite a bit and not everyone will like having the shirring so bunched up. Personally, I didn't mind it or think it was that noticeable, but again I only tried it on and never wore it for more than a few minutes.

The buy now price is what I originally paid for it.
