This was bought used and then altered by a friend so it fit her more comfortably. Some of the gathering was taken out of the section of the waist, and then a piece of plain black fabric covered with black lace was added to the waist band. If you wanted to, it would be fairly easy to remove the extra band and return it to its original size if you have a bit of sewing skill. Please note the skirt does not have its waist ties.
