Atelier Pierrot Tartan Corset Skirt
Atelier Pierrot Tartan Corset Skirt
Repaired - bent plastic boning replaced/reinforced with flat steel boning
Please read everything for details of the modification/repair!!!
Atelier Pierrot corset skirt - no shirring, corset lacing only. Black/Navy/Green/White tartan. Photo with other navy and green items for colour reference - quite hard to photograph accurately.
Waist 60-68cm max
Underbust/top of corset area 66-74cm max
Length 67cm, corset length 21cm
My measurements are 70cm underbust/65cm waist, max measurements based on internal flat measurement with measuring tape. Please note that the corset area is slightly firmer due to the steel.
The corset area is approx 10cm wide so theoretically you could reduce it by that much, however this would also mean there was a lot of excess bunched up fabric at the front.
I bought this in mid 2017 and have worn it exactly thrice, hence it really needs to go to someone who will love it and wear it more than me. I originally thought this was going to be an awesome casual/daily wear skirt so replaced the bent plastic boning (see original Wunderwelt listing for how bad it was - this is why it had a "C" rating, not due to wear to the fabric) with flat 1/4" steels (which means that you can handwash the skirt part but I would probably spot clean the corset area). There are a couple of places where it was impossible to get the plastic out without deconstructing the corset part of the skirt so the metal was slid in over the plastic boning. I have been sewing for >10 years and there is no visible change to the inside of the skirt (see photo) or weird stitching from this minor modification. This does NOT mean you can waist reduce with it as the fabric is not reinforced with anything like coutil/the usual corset strength fabric, so you would likely strain the seams, the zip, or the corset lacing area. The modification was primarily to smooth out the bent areas and to prevent further warping.
Please note that quoted shipping prices are for UNTRACKED AIRMAIL as the cheapest tracked option is EMS which is $40+

Please note that I intermittently foster cats. Despite being singularly disinterested in my wardrobe the majority of the time, they shed and I have an open wardrobe arrangement. I generally clean, lint roll and store items for sale in a box on a shelf that they don't normally bother with but please assume all my items are cat exposed if you are very allergic.
If you're buying, I expect you to be able to pay. I will invoice to the email address provided by lacemarket, and expect payment within 48 hours of sending the invoice unless otherwise arranged. If there is any delay please let me know as lacemarket does not always send me notifications.
I work shift work, and am currently working 50+hrs/week. I will try to ship within 3 working days of payment. If you need your package earlier, you should probably sort this out with me before you buy my stuff as my roster may mean I can't get to the post office until Saturday or a random day of the following week. Unfortunately I cannot print international shipping labels at home for collection and therefore need to actually get to the post office in their opening hours.
This should go without saying, but I am not the post office. I can mark parcels down and mark them as gifts but if an item gets lost or damaged, I am only able to claim compensation for the marked value. Shipping is untracked airmail unless you really want tracking; the cheapest tracked international option in NZ is EMS; it's expensive because we're in the middle of nowhere and everywhere else isn't.
Payment plans can also be arranged with agreement prior to purchase. I expect you to be able to pay 50% of the item cost+shipping or $100 (whichever is the lower of the two) and pay the balance within a month.

Assuming you don't live in an R.D. area, the courier quotes through trademe are all around $6 NZD, possibly only $4 within Auckland. I think for rural delivery I can fit it all in the flat rate $7 bag safely
