This embroidered whitework collar is a fine example of handwork-- even the lace trim around the edge is handmade.
The collar is old yet still wearable even without repairs, but please note the two small holes (see circled areas in pics 3 + 4). These flaws aren't noticeable when the collar is worn.
This collar can be worn with either side in front: pointed tails pinned together in front, or broad bib side in front. The tails have no closure, since I believe they were meant to be held in place with a pin or brooch.
