There was clearly a language barrier here. However if the seller communicated THEIR mistake, there never would have been an issue, in the first place.
They left me a 1 star review which as a new buyer (old lurker) with only one (false) bad review, it does not look good!
I will explain,
but please feel free to message me and I will email you or DM on a social media screenshots of our conversations so you can see their review of me is totally false.
And that THEY are in the wrong.
Everyone makes mistakes, but don't give other people bad reviews because YOU messed up and confused a potential customer!!!
They said in their negative review that when I placed a bid on the item they put up for sale, they realized they made an auction post, not regular sale post.
But did she message ME that?? No.
No, she did not tell me that was a mistake.
I have never sold anything on here, but Im pretty sure I have seen auction starting price the same as buyout before. So how do you make the mistake if the price was so firm anyways??
Did she message me, clarifying her accident? Something like : " Hi, I accidentally made an incorrect sale post, I'm sorry about that but I will only sell it for x amount" ?????
No, they in fact made it more confusing by messaging me something like " hey you should use the buyout button so no one out bids you"
Does that not sound misleading ? It sounds like a nice seller wanting me to get the item since I asked for it to be relisted, (previous listing expired) right??
Well that's what I thought, especially since I was trying to get a deal because they had another dress I was interested in but two retail priced 2016 dresses was a bit much for this bank.
Yes we had agreed to 250 in the DM's, but again she didn't clarify the mistake when she made the listing.
So I thought she was being nice with $20 cheaper, but also still being fair to others since it was a re list from previously expiring.
Did she message me within the 7 days of the listing to clarify? No.
Did she clarify after the 7 days, when no one else bid?
No.
Did she clarify once getting my PayPal? No.
Just sent the buyout price with no explanation when this whole time I'm thinking " wow they are nice, oh I was worried someone would bid" etc.
Then has the audacity to leave me a bad review and say I refused to pay when I payed the bid amount immediately? ($20 less)
Then I said " okay, I think it would be better if we do not do business, just give me a refund please."
Because she was being confusing and problematic.
[MOD edit: Feedback edited. Buyer and seller agreed to $250 for item in private messages, seller made a listing and accidentally included "accept bids", buyer placed bid instead of BIN at a lower price of $231, auction ended, both parties could not agree on price, transaction did not go through]
