I live in a smoke-free home but I do have cats. I try to take extremely good care of my items and will carefully comb them over and note any flaws. However, please note that all of these items have been worn and may show signs of wear or have flaws that I may miss. In some cases, I am not the first or even second owner and there could be hidden flaws that I am not able to detect.
