In good condition - I've worn it several times but there's no signs of damage or wear. It's a dress you can wear out often, as it doesn't seem to wrinkle, stain, or streatch easily. There is shirring in the back that makes it more comfortable.

I have a cat but he doesn't go near my closet, and no one in my home smokes.
