Will the waist of this dress be too high for taller people (err to rephrase, Is this dress more suited for shorter people)? I'm 5'7" and have the problem of dress waists often being higher than my natural waist even if the length is appropriate

It's hard to say. I am 5'0", and it came to just above my knees, but the straps are also adjustable and I kept it on the shortest length. The exact length of the skirt is 43cm. I hope that gives you an idea!
