There is partial shirring on the back and a side zipper. The pink waist tie is removable. The fabric itself is really soft and the dress overall is really comfy and lightweight. It's a gorgeous piece but I simply don't wear it out enough and am trying to downsize my wardrobe.
*While I don't allow her near my clothes, I do own a cat.
